Higher Education and Leadership Ministries (HELM) is excited to announce a new partnership with the Center for Faith and Giving, a key ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). This collaboration will enhance HELM’s leadership training programming by integrating best practices in stewardship education and faith-based giving.
Through this partnership, HELM will expand its leadership curriculum to include resources and training from the Center for Faith and Giving, equipping emerging leaders to cultivate generosity, manage resources faithfully, and lead their congregations with a holistic understanding of stewardship.
“We believe that faithful stewardship is an essential component of effective Christian leadership,” said Rev. Lee Yates, Vice President of Scholarship and Leadership Programs. “By partnering with the Center for Faith and Giving, we can provide students and young leaders with the tools they need to not only lead with vision but also to foster a culture of generosity within their communities.”
The Center for Faith and Giving will contribute specialized content, facilitate workshops, and mentor participants in HELM’s leadership initiatives, helping them develop practical skills in congregational giving, financial planning, and mission-driven resource management.
Rev. Melissa St. Clair, Executive Director of the Center for Faith and Giving, added: “We are thrilled to join HELM in this important work. Our mission is to create a culture of generosity across the life of the church, and investing in the next generation of leaders is a vital step toward achieving that goal. Studies show that when generosity is practiced at a young age, it only continues to grow over the course of a lifetime.”
This partnership underscores HELM’s ongoing commitment to equipping and empowering transformational leaders for the church, ensuring they are prepared to meet the challenges of ministry in today’s world.
“HELM remains committed to partnering throughout the life of the church as together we develop strong stewardship and leadership. We are pleased to announce this partnership and trust it will further enhance future leadership initiatives," said Rev. Dr. Tamara Nichols Rodenberg, President of HELM.
