PROGRAMS

HELM is dedicated to nurturing and equipping leaders within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) through various leadership programs. One of its key initiatives is the Youth Leadership Symposium (YLS), which gathers high school students from across the U.S. to engage in faith-based leadership development. This ecumenical program focuses on theological reflection, vocational exploration, and leadership training to prepare young individuals for roles in their communities and churches. HELM’s Leadership Fellows Program provides undergraduate students with a four-year experience that fosters spiritual growth, leadership skills, and professional development through mentorship, networking, and engagement in service-learning projects.

The Global Theological Fellows (GTF) initiative, offers students and emerging leaders an opportunity to engage with theological perspectives from diverse global contexts. This program facilitates international experiences where participants explore different faith traditions, social justice issues, and global ministry challenges. By immersing students in cross-cultural theological dialogue, GTF helps shape leaders who are well-equipped to navigate and serve in an increasingly interconnected world. Together, these programs embody HELM’s commitment to fostering transformative leadership grounded in faith, service, and global awareness.
