Transition into reality

Arrington Foster Everything in life happens for a reason. I now truly believe that, and I when I think back to all that is happened in my life so far, I can only laugh and thank God for choosing my path for me.

I am a very organized person. I like to plan everything. Even as a child I would make lists just for fun, mostly of things I needed to accomplish or things I would like to do. It is a good thing because I usually never lose things, and I am always on time for anything. It can also be a bad thing because I am very impatient and always feel that I need to know what is coming next. I always knew what my next step was, especially with school. From elementary school to middle school, from middle school to high school, and high school to now college.

But now, it is summer and I am now going to be a junior. This is mind-boggling to me because now I am halfway done with college. It has gone by so fast, and I know it's only going to get faster, these last two years. For the first time I am a little nervous because I actually don't know what is in store for my life. It's that point everyone goes through, the transition between education into their real lives, and that thought is a little scary to me.

This all goes back to God and that trust that we have with him. We just have to have faith and believe that God will never leave us and keep directing our paths. So now I've been starting to brainstorm for what moves I should be making next. I am still going to pursue my dreams to become a famous actor, and I am getting a lot of wise advice of what I should do.

Currently, my main goal is to finish school and to get better at my craft of acting. I am now in a musical production of "Footloose" at a theatre in my hometown of Maryland right now. I am so blessed to say that I am playing the lead role of Ren McCormack, and we open soon. I have learned so much, and it has been a great experience to be in this show. It is helping me continue my training and will ultimately prepare me for the shows we will have next semester at TCU. So now I am nervous, but excited of what is to come for me in the future and I know that if I keep close to God and have faith in him, I will live my life to the fullest and reach all my goals and desires.
