Learning tracks
Hope Partnership Learning Track

As Christians experience the decline of institutional/organized church, a new ministry is emerging full of new possibilities – especially for Disciples. The emergent church movement, with its decentralization, its emphasis on an outward mission focus, and its ability to cross a wide variety of theological boundaries, has much in common with Disciples. In a five-hour Learning Track – guided in part by one of the movement’s best known leaders, Brian McLaren, who is also the Tuesday night General Assembly preacher – planners hope to reveal much that will help existing Disciples congregations find new life in mission.

Display area
Higher education display area

For years Disciples higher education institutions have gathered in a shared display area. This year, 21 educational institutions and HELM look forward to meeting your in the display hall. In addition, we're sharing portions of our space with the Hope Partnership, providing a place where you can learn about the new congregational transformation efforts and the leadership skills it will take to lead a congregation in the 21st Century. Look for a schedule of speakers and display-hall workshops soon.
