      Crazy at General Assembly
As a member of the STEP Leadership Team and the Young Adult Commission and Eureka College's student ambassador team and... well, as an active Disciple, Beau Underwood barely had a chance to catch his breath before he was off to another activity during the General Assembly. Now that he's found time to contemplate the experience, it's the small things — new acquaintences, fun events, powerful sermons — that stick with Beau.

      Tomorrow starts now:
      Young adults at General Assembly

Kelly Rand's first General Assembly gave her the opportunity to see young adult ministries on the move. See what new opportunities young adults had in Portland, and check out what makes Kelly hopeful that young adults are on the move in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Sharing my ministry at the General Assembly
The General Assembly offers lots of opportunities to see new ways to minister. Titus James, Jr., did some ministry of his own with his cello. Performing at the Division of Overseas Ministries' banquet and in their display, he also got the opportunity to see some new forms of ministry on his own.

  • HELM workshops:

The Nazareth Consensus workshop drew more than 75 participants and even more attention. Learn about this important proposal with the online study guide and complete report.

The Crisis Communications workshop required a second printing of handouts — and that still wasn't enough. Download this handy guide of how to react when bad things happen to good churches.

For these institutions, an energized college student can connectand share the academic and community life better than piles ofbrochures.

    Meand my shadow:
