Young adults got off to an early start with a pre-event at a nearby church. Members of the Student Ecumenical Partnership and Leadership Fellows attended the overnight event.

Not all the work was done on the plenary floor. A group of Leadership Fellows went out on the town for dinner -- and to plan an alumni program to keep fellows involved in the life of the church. The Student Ecumenical Partnership's (STEP) Leadership Team got General Assembly off to a crazy start with a Saturday night after-session. After camp games, participants completed a survey to help STEP determine its next move in its social justice ministry. The Leadership Team is, from left, Natalee Cayton, Beau Underwood, Leslie Dobyns, Katie Griffin, and Jon Hall. And what does R U Crazy mean? As 2 Corinthians 5:13 (The Message) says, "If I acted crazy, I did it for God."

In the "What's Up At HELM" pre-show green room, Team One (short a member who had to catch a plane) shows their team pride, while Team Two chills before going onstage. HELM Leadership Fellows and Student Ecumenical Partnership Leadership Team members comprised the teams.

Chapman University's Cisa Payuyo, a member of the HELM Board of Directors, spoke at Tuesday's worship service.
