DHE's Weekly News Round-up Makes It Easier To Keep Up With Higher Education Institutions
Division of Higher Education web site

With 27 institutions spread coast-to-coast, it can be hard to keep up with what's happening on Disciples-related campuses. The Division of Higher Education's "Weekly Round-up" aims to make that task easier.

Each Friday, a list of press releases issued by the 17 Disciples-associated colleges and universities and 10 theological institutions will be posted on the DHE web site at www.dhedisciples.org/news. The list will include links to press releases posted on the institutions' web sites.

"We want our readers to get a complete picture of the wide variety of activities on campuses," says Brad Lyons, DHE's Director of Communications. "For instance, during the week of February 5-12 alone, press releases discussed an upcoming visit by former President Gerald Ford to Chapman University, the opening of art exhibits at Barton College, the first-ever No. 1 ranking for Transylvania University men's basketball, and seminary events that could affect the way the church thinks about ministry."

Fourteen universities and seven theological institutions in 12 states are in covenant with the Christian Church, serving 24,000 students. In addition, three schools and three theological institutions are also related to the denomination. Also, DHE is affiliated with more than 80 campus ministries programs across the country.
