Northwest Christian College

Eugene Divinity School was founded by pastor-educator Eugene C. Sanderson in 1895. After a series of name changes and a merger, it became known as Northwest Christian College(NCC) in 1934. NCC is a liberal arts and pre-professional institution that integrates faith, learning, and service through leadership. NCC has various general study programs that emphasize the development of evaluative thinking and effective communication skills. NCC is affiliated with Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Christian Churches/Churches of Christ.

Northwest Christian College (NCC) has grown from 459 in Fall 2004 to 490 in Fall 2005 and 480 in fall 2006. The College is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (C.C.C.U.). Collectively, C.C.C.U. members experienced an enrollment growth rate of nearly 70% between 1992 and 2002. This growth rate far surpassed any other category of higher education institutions in the same period.

Future enrollment increases are projected, and NCC has a target enrollment of 1,200 by 2014.

Academic programs
Northwest Christian College offers: T.E.S.O.L. certification (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), Associate of Arts in general studies, and Associate of science in pre-professional health science. Bachelor of arts degrees are offered in: accounting, Bible and Christian ministry studies, business administration, communication, global studies, human services, humanities, interdisciplinary studies (individualized), music industry, music ministry, psychology, social sciences, and teacher education. Bachelor of Science degrees are offered in: computer and information Science (C.I.S.) and exercise science. NCC offers graduate degrees in professional counseling (M.A.), school counseling (M.A.), and business administration (M.B.A.). The Professional Studies Program offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in accounting, management, management information systems (M.I.S.), and health care administration.
