Established in 1847 under the leadership of Dr. Lewis Letig Pinkerton, a physician and pastor of Midway Christian Church, Midway College is the only college in Kentucky exclusively for women. It is located on 105 beautiful rolling acres in Midway, Kentucky, the heart of the bluegrass region, just 15 minutes from Lexington.

Midway College is proud of its long association with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and is an active participant in the Higher Education and Leadership Development of the Christian Church. The bluegrass region of Kentucky has one of the highest concentrations of Disciples in the country. Midway College has a high percentage of Disciples students and offers several Disciples-related scholarships.

Midway College provides a living and learning environment that empowers women as leaders. We also offer degree programs in the evening for working men and women through the School for Career Development.

Today, Midway offers fourteen baccalaureate degrees and nine associate degrees to traditional students. Baccalaureate degrees include: bachelor of arts in biology, business administration, English, equine studies, liberal studies, psychology, and teacher education, and bachelor of science in nursing, biology, environmental science and equine science.

Associate degrees include: business administration, computer information systems, equine management, general studies, science, and nursing. Bachelor of arts degrees in business administration and organizational management are offered, by the School for Career Development, (in the evening and extension programs) as are associate degrees in nursing, business administration, and computer information systems.

Midway College is related by covenant to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
