Columbia CollegeColumbia College is a private, four-year residential college offering both men and women undergraduate and graduate degrees in the liberal arts and sciences.

Columbia College has enjoyed an affiliation by covenant with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) since its founding in 1851 as Christian Female College. Many opportunities exist on and off campus for students to seek spiritual growth. Students also can participate in more than 30 student organizations, intramural sports and award-winning NAIA Division I athletics.

With a student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1, students receive quality instruction in small, interactive classes taught by professors, not teaching assistants.

Columbia College is nested among 30 picturesque acres in the heart of Columbia, which is conveniently located about 125 miles from both St. Louis and Kansas City. Columbia is a culturally diverse community that is home to three higher education institutions. Students enjoy big city amenities with small city comforts in "Collegetown, U.S.A."

Columbia College offers degrees within the departments of Art; Business Administration; Computer and Mathematical Sciences; Criminal Justice Administration and Social Work; Education; History and Social Sciences; Humanities; and Sciences.

The Student Guide to America's 100 Best College Scholarships: 2000 lists Columbia College as one of the top-rated colleges with the lowest costs. Most students receive some type of financial assistance through scholarships, awards or financial aid, including a Disciples of Christ Award.

Columbia College is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The college serves 850 students in the traditional program and 1,500 non-traditional students in the evening program. The College also serves 25 extended studies campuses across the country.
